Tiny Star Life Hacks For Winter! - Survive This World With Me

Life Hacks For Winter!

10:39 AM

Hello guys! As you might have already guessed, this month's theme is winter! I know that it's still fall, but winter will start at the end of this month so why not? Plus, if I give my tips before winter starts, you'll basically be winter to survive this awful season. Anyway, without further ado, let's get on with this post.

Beauty & Clothing

1. We all know the struggle of getting our feet wet when we walk anywhere in the winter. To avoid getting them wet, put plastic bags over each sock. Plus, it also blocks cold air running in your shoes.

2. I know I'm not the only one when I say that my lips get really dehydrated in the winter. To keep them soft and healthy looking, run warm (but not hot) water on your toothbrush. Then, brush your lips. You can also apply Vaseline on your lips before you go outside and a thick layer before you sleep. Especially if you breathe through your mouth.

3. Like your lips, your skin gets dry when the winter season starts. To reduce the chance of ashy, dry skin, take short showers with lukewarm water even though it's tempting to stay there forever.

4. Pilling can be annoying and seeing it on your clothes could just get you in a horrible mood. To remove pilling on your winter sweaters or any piece of clothing of your choice, use a razor.

5. Taking off your winter hat means getting your hair frizzy almost every time. So to get rid of hat head, use dry shampoo. If you're on the go, hair styling sheets will also work.

6. Fill your shoe mat with pebbles to dry your winter shoes without leaving a mess. Plus, this looks super stylish.

Warmth

1. Ever had your derriere cold when you sat on toilet. If so, to keep your butt toasty, put socks on the toilet seat like this.

2.  One of the reasons why people hate winter is because our feet are constantly cold. Put your winter boots on the heater for an hour or so before you leave to warm them up a bit. To get them ever warmer, blow dry the insides right before you leave. Be careful if you have leather boots as this might get them cracked.

3. After you take your shower or bath, don't drain out the water immediately. The water has a heat and in the winter, you cannot have enough of that! Let the water cool to room temperature so that heat stays in your house. Also, the water will humidify the dry air.

4. Use a hot water bottle to warm up your bed before you sleep or even the clothes that you'll be wearing. You will not be disappointed!

That's it for this week guys! I hope that you enjoyed this and if you want to see 3 more winter related post, then follow my RSS feed and while you're at it, you can also follow this blog completely!
